Dear Mr. Sonny,
Bill Harrison, a frequent visitor to Myanmar,
recommended your company to help me with my
travels in Myanmar (in February-March of this
year). He said I should contact AYE, which I
did.
She was a wonderful help to me and my sister;
making reservations, air-travel arrangements,
pick-ups from the airport.....she did a very
professional job, processing our visas and
passports and all those necessary things. We
always felt we were in competent hands
throughout our visit.
I don't usually write this kind of letter....but
in Aye's case, I think she deserves an extra
special recommendation. We met at the Park-Royal
Hotel, and went over all the details of our
travels. For such a young person, I found her
exceedingly professional, courteous, and STRONG!
She is such an asset to your business, and I
hope you appreciate that! She was not only
attentive to every detail, but sincerely wanted
to know our personal experience. I already had
fallen in love with the people of Myanmar, but
meeting AYE, I was awed by her composure,
kindness, and professionalism! You are so lucky
to have her in your employ! She is the finest
representative of your country that you could
have.
Best regards,
Dottie Leroux (a very happy traveler!!)
Dear Aye, this is Ben Doherty here.
I don't know if you remember me, but earlier
this year I travelled to Myanmar after your
assistance in getting a visa. I had a wonderful
holiday, I met up with an old friend (who now
lives in Yangon) and we enjoyed seeing your
country very much. Your service in organising my
visa was excellent. It was very simple and easy
to do.
I would like to visit my friend in Myanmar again
in October (we are thinking of going to Bago and
to Inle Lake) and I am wondering if you would be
able to assist me again. But I have that the
visa on arrival service has been discontinued in
Myanmar, and I am not sure if this applies to
the pre-approved visa service you offer.
Could you please advise if your service is still
available?
Thank you very much for your assistance,
Kind regards,
Ben
Dear Aye,
I just want to thank you and your staff for
helping to make my trip to Myanmar so enjoyable.
The visa on arrival went very smoothly and the
hotel rate was very good. I had a wonderful time
and may plan to return a the end of the year
since it is so convenient from Chiangmai flying
with Air Bagan. I will contact you again if I do
go. L Opera Italian restaurant in Yangon was so
beautiful and is one of my favourite. :)
Kind regards,
Tim Daniell
Dear Aye,
Have eventually arrived back home in Australia,
feeling a little tired.
I must take this opportunity to thank you for
all the help you gave me in making my trip so
enjoyable, without your help it would never have
been possible. Everything you organized went
very well. The hotels were very good, the
flights although a little late at times also
went well, you have exceptional organizing
skills and your company should be very proud of
you.
You have a beautiful country which I enjoy
visiting and hope to return to shortly.
Also what makes your country so exceptional are
it's people, they must be the most polite,
helpful, and friendly people in the world.
As I mentioned I am looking forward to
returning, are there other places you could
recommend?
I guess you have heard enough of my raving, it
was good to see your smiling face once again and
thank you once again for all your help and look
forward to traveling over there again soon.
Take care and please pass on my regards to
everyone at Magado
John ( jbishop49@bigpond.com)
It was a pleasure dealing with Aye( mostly),
plus Cathy+ Mie Mie before. Everything went
smoothly with my trip this time, with visits to:
(1) Mergui (2) Sittwe/Mrauk-U (3) Mandalay (
Sagaing paleik, Inwa, Amarapura + Monywa) What I
did notice, and I hear other tourists say the
same thing, is that when you are due to go
somewhere, or when you return from a trip, there
is always somebody waiting for you, to take you
where you want to go-for example, Aung Myint and
I were on the river trip, up to Pambang Village
( Tattooed Ladies), for about 7 hours. When our
boat returned to the river bank where we starts,
our jeep was waiting there, turned around
pointing in the right direction, Mr. Driver
appeared from somewhere and ...off we went!
Foreigners like to be punctual, but Myanmar
People are usually there early!
Tim Hendley
Dear Aye,
Thank you very much for your nice wishes. We had
a great time in Myanmar, and we appreciated a
lot your help regarding our lost luggage.
Everything you arranged us was perfect (hotels,
flights, etc.). Thank you very much for all your
attentions.
Please forward this email to your boss to let
him know how much we appreciate your help an
services.
Hoping to see you again.
Best regards,
Oscar Maldonado
Dear Aye,
John and Myself would like to thank you for a
lovely holiday that you organized for us. May I
say that the whole trip ran very well and we had
no trouble at all, the side tours were would
class.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank
all the tour guides who made our trip so
pleasurable and made everything run very
smoothly. We will try and let as many people
know about your company and the services that
you offer.
Again thank you so much
Kind regards,
Martin and John.
Dear Aye,
How are you? I hope that fine.
We finished our trip. All was OK.
We visited 4 countries, but Myanmar was the
best. The most beautiful was Bagan and of course
Shwedagon pagoda.
We were many times wet – Water Festival – the
most on the trip to the Gold stone. We go up on
foot and in the middle of way – about 15
children – we were wet from the head to the
foot.
All hotels, transport, flights, boat – good
sometimes excellent.
Many thanks for your help with organization of
our trip.
Best regards,
Norbert
Dear
Thank you Cathy, we had a wonderful time on
our trip, we especially liked Myanmar. The
Hotels you had us staying at were excellent. The
New Year’s water festival was extraordinary fun,
well done for Yangon.
The one criticism that I have is with Air
Mandalay, besides the mix up with the no tickets
in Bagan, their airplane schedules were not
consistent with the times on our iternerary. I
would not recommend Air Mandalay.
The Magado agent in Heho, Mr. Ton Tung was very
helpful.
Cathy, you were also very helpful and we are all
grateful for your help in arranging our Myanmar
Trip. Thank you again. We would certainly
recommend Magado as Travel Agents!!

Magado Travel, Myanmar
Has anybody any experience of this travel agent
in Myanmar. They seem to offer very competitive
prices. They also offer the option of paying by
credit card before arrival in Myanmar which
would mean that I would not have to carry so
much US$ cash around/ Just wondered if they are
reliable/ safe.
Thanks
Helen
I used Magado for several hotel bookings last
Oct/Nov. However, at that time they did not
offer credit card payment. After all of our
requests had been processed, they sent us an
account with a final balance statement by email.
We gave them the information on our flight to
Yangon and when we arrived, they sent a
representative to meet us at the airport. That
is when we paid them and received vouchers for
the hotels. This got us a free ride form the
airport to our hotel in Yangon. So
unfortunately, I cannot comment on the security
of a credit card transaction.
On the other hand, Magado was very helpful with
our arrangements and did a superb job of getting
us exactly what we wanted and even located and
booked a specific hotel for us that was not on
their web site, at our request. A man named
William (Ohn Win Tain in Burmese) made all of
our arrangements and met us at the airport in
Yangon. He was very helpful with suggestions on
how to get to a few “out of the way” places we
wanted to visit. He arranged a taxi to get us
out to Air Mandalay’s office to finalize our
bookings and accompanied us to make sure all
went well. He also arranged to have 2 women meet
us at our hotel to exchange money at a price
that was very competitive with the money
changers at the big market. This allowed us to
change our money in a very secure situation and
they made sure that we re-counted the amount to
confirm it was correct… all in the comfort of
our hotel.
Our experience with Magado was very positive.

Dear Cathy,
It was a pleasure for me to have the dinner with
you in Yangon. The last day of my journey in
Myanmar I went an other time to the same
restaurant and had a fantastic meal.
Thank you very much for your help, you made a
very good job.
I already recommended you to other tourists in
Myanmar and also to friends here in Switzerland.
I hope to come back again to your beautiful
country.
So at all, I had a fantastic time in Myanmar.
Thank you very much again and have a good time.
Kind Regards,
Martin

Dear Aye,
It was nice to be in touch to your office and
you before our departure. The communication by
e-mail was so easy and smooth that it was nearly
incredible. But we were to see in Yangon airport
and in the lobby in Yuzana hotel that it was
really possible: to have so good servie and help
from strange people in strange country
(from our point of view). You made our week in
Myanmar unforgettable.
Thank you Miss Aye and Magado Travel! We wish
you all happy new year 2009 and happy tourist in
your beautiful country.

My name is Michael J. Fisher and my passport
photo is attached. I used your excellent Visa on
Arrival services for a trip to Myanmar
this past March. I'm travelling to Myanmar again
this May with Lawrence H. Lincoln. I understand
that he has already sent hi Visa on Arrival
information and request to you for our trip this
May.
Dear Cathy,
This is thank you very warmly for the assistance
you provided to us in obtaining visas on arrival
at the start of our recent visit to Myanmar. The
arrangement worked perfectly: our subsequent
trip was fabulously successful as a result. You
and Ms. Aye Mya Oo have our deep apreciation for
all the timely assistance you provided. We are
particularly grateful that you were able to
obtain authorization for us at the last minute
after other avenues had proven unfruitful. With
your permission, we will recommend your services
to other tourists we may know who require
visas on arrival in future.
Thanks again for all your help - sine qua non.
Happy New Year!
Very best,
Chris
I
used Magado travel on the internet.
http://www.magadotravel.com/
I did actually onle apply 10-12 day before going
and they still managed to arrange the visa.
Normally one should apply at least 14 days
before.
A strange thing happened on the way to Myanmar.
I was flying with Air Qatar from Berlin to Doha
and Doha to Yangon. The flight from Berlin was
delayed with more than three hours, so I missed
the connection to Yangon and had to say over
night in Doha. I sent an email to Magado to
explain that had happened but they was already
at the airport to meet me. Qatar Airways
flight to Yangon. The girl at the check in
counter asked to see my visa documents. I show
here my visa on arrival from. She looked at it
and said, that is only authorized by the police
not the goverment. I have to call Yangon it will
take at least 15 minutes to have an answer from
them. I was only 20 minutes left before the gate
was going to be closed so I was about to miss my
second connection in a row. Yangon called
back 15 minutes later and said that everything
was in order. I ran up to the gate and managed
to reach it before closing. One and a half hour
later I was in Yangon, three immigration offices
were waiting, they check my offices asked for
photos to put on the Visa, I didn't know that I
should have brought any photos so didn't have
any. The offices said, no problem I write it out
anyway I don't think there will be any problem.
Three days later a Young girls appeared at Pyin
Oo Lwin guesthouse, she was the manager for
Magado travel and asked for their fee for
the visa on arrival work. They had also booked
domestic flights in Myanmar, which turned out to
be cheaper to book there than at any one
else in Myanmar. I had no impression that this
was a government run travel company, but they
apparently do have good connecitons with the
authorities.
I would definitely use Magado travel the next
time I go to Myanmar both for visa on arrival
and booking of domestic flights.
Dear Aye,
We had a wonderful visit in your beautiful
country. I thank you very much for your
assistance and look forward to visiting Myanmar
again february next year. I have informed my
travel agent that I was impressed about your
first calss service.
Best regards and all the best to you and your
family.
Jukka Kupila
Hello Myanmar Visa,
Thank you for your fast and efficient service.
I'm looking forward to meeting with you at Yangon airport. We will bring the money
you asked.
Am I right to believe there is only 1 "approval letter" for me and
Erik?
Can you send me your telephone number, for the case my flight from
Brussels to Bangkok gets delayed, so I can call you from Bangkok in
case we don't make it on time (just to make sure, you never know).
Thanks again for the service,
Best regards,
Ivan (Belgium)
Dear Myanmar Visa:
My wife and I are most grateful for your very kind assistance in processing our request for a "VISA On Arrival" letter. We were able to down-load your letter clearly and in an excellent format for printing. As instructed, we will show this letter to the airline (TG) as a pre-condition for obtaining a boarding pass, and we bring with us two passport-sized photos for our VISAs.
We are anxious to meet your representative at the immigration counter at Yangon International Airport upon our arrival and most anxious to see your beautiful country. Warmest regards,
Donald and Reina (USA)
Dear Myanmar Visa
We thank you very much for your e-mail. I confirm you that I have received properly
your message with the file attached with the approval letter of Visa on arrival.
Our hotel in Yagon is PANORAMA HOTEL.
Looking forward to meet you at the Yangon Airport.
Best regards
Maria (Spain)
Dear Myanmar Visa
Thank you, we already received the approval
letter from the attachment. How much we
have
to pay for this approval letter?

Dear
San San,
We can all get visas on arrival in Nepal easily.
It costs $30 per person.
It is always more of a difficulty to get visas
for Myanmar. Last time we use Magado Travel.
They have been very dependable. We must apply in
advance for visa on arrival. We must send them
all of the information listed below with a
digital picture of each person's passport and a
picture of themselves. After we apply they
submit the application to the goverment. When
they receive they send us a letter stating that
we have permission to get a visa on arrival. We
must show this in order to board the flight to
Myanmar.
Mie Mie from Magado Travel usually handles
everything and meets us at the airport. She
process the visa there for us. We have done this
several times with her and everything has gone
very smoothly each time. We must apply as a
group, however. Evidently the visa on arrival
service is not available for individual travel.
I will copy this to Mie Mie. Please let her know
who will be coming and send all of the necessary
information to her as soon as possible.
If you have any more questions about the visa on
arrival for Myanmar you can contact me or write
to Mie Mie directly.
Jim
Hi Aye,
I have received a copy of the approval letter.
Thanks for keeping me posed and the amazingly
quick service. Yes, I wil bring 2 photos of mine
for the official paperwork.
Thanks again and look forward to meeting you at
the Yangon airport on the date.
Dailoc.
Dear
Cathy and Staff,
I just wanted to write and thank you for all
your hard working my guest her visa. I was so
upset that her vacation would be ruined, but you
saved the day and she now gets to come to your
wonderful country! I will continue to recommend
you in the future.
Best, Andrea
